A beautiful home and important piece of Virginia history. Its amazing how many original pieces are still in the house. Very well maintained and a joy to visit. The grounds are truly stunning.

Major failure on the Morven Park owners.
They run a business that includes sports fields and cancelled a major sports tourney (lacrosse) as folks were arriving to the field after long drives and hotel stays. Sports like lacrosse are played in the rain. It was a misty day.
Went out for the annual rummage sale and was pleasantly surprised. The grounds were lovely, the facilities were well kept and the group running the rummage sale were awesome.
Check out the former governor's mansion and walk or ride the grounds. Beautiful park and well-maintained. Various events throughout the year.
The park itself was beautiful but the staff were never around for the tour through tge museum. We visited the website for tour times and arrived in plenty of time to enjoy a short walk through the garden. Tried 3 different times to buy tickets for the tour, doors locked and staff not around. Saw saw beautiful countryside but the drive out was pretty wasted.
