The hotel staff are helpful and friendly. The rooms were clean. The beds were a little hard and the pillows we're not as comfy as I would have liked.
This hotel doesn't have online reservations (edit: Just found they do, but not for packages), so I called in to make one. My wife was interested in the wine tour package + room. I explained this to the first rep that answered the phone. She said okay and placed me on hold. Another lady picked up and I explained everything all over again. She put me on hold. A guy then answered and, frustrated, hung up on him stating I wasn't going to explain myself three times to three people in three minutes. They lost my business with their ineptitude.
they have a bike shuttle from White's Ferry so when biking down the C&O canal towpath, you can cross the potomac river and safely be shuttled to Leesburg. reasonable room rates, clean nice hotel! Good hot breakfast.
I stayed in a King room and it was large and clean. Bed is comfortable and pillows are fantastic. My room had the indoor pool outside the window which was kinda weird. Breakfast is standard. Location has convenient access to the Old Dominion Trail for walking and running. Front desk staff didn't speak to me except when checking in and then they were not overly friendly, but not rude. This was my second stay and I will come back the next time I'm in town.
Really awesome experience with this hotel and considerate staff! I highly recommend staying here! If you are cycling from White's Ferry, they will pick you up - which is great. They will also shuttle you to and from in-town destinations. Not all hotels will do this. To top it off: the double bed room is a spacious suite with sitting area, mini fridge, microwave and desk. They get 5+ stars from me!
