Will never do business with this place again unless Doug is terminated. Very unprofessional to imply that a customer looking to make a purchase might be shoplifting.
Went in and was looking at bar tape on a store rack when a store employee who later said his name was Doug came up behind me and accused me of possibly shoplifting. I was going to purchase the tape and was not going to steal it as he implied. I confronted him about it and he said he was "only kidding". Message to Doug - implying someone is shoplifting is not something to kid about and you are old enough to know that.
Sean the mechanic is the man. He replaced a spoke on a 30 year old steel wheel with only 15 minutes before closing. He had a great attitude the whole time.
I had actually been in there about a week previous to this incident and also had a rather unpleasant encounter with him. When I walked in, he shouted to me across the other side of the store if I wanted to buy an $8k bike & made some other comments that I ignored. I think he was talking with another customer about a bike and felt the need to yell at me about it from the other side of the store. I just ignored is rude yelling and kept on looking around.
We were crossing over from the C&O to the W&OD today when my friend's chain snapped. There were 3 of us on the side of route 15 trying to fix it so the bike was rideable, but we weren't able to. In the midst of our struggles, a minivan pulled off to the side of the road and a man got out to help us. It took him about 1 minute to fix the chain, which saved us countless time and effort. That man is the owner of this bike shop. We are grateful for the help, thank you! Without it we wouldnt have finished the the loop back to DC. If I ever need bike maintenance in Leesburg, I know where to go.
Others call it the Napoleon complex is a theorized condition occurring in people of short stature. It is characterized by overly-aggressive or domineering social behavior, and carries the implication that such behavior is compensatory for the subject's small stature.
Purchased a bike from this place and absolutely love it. It is perfect for me. I so appreciate Jack working with me to get me the perfect bike. I love my Trek Hybrid Neko. Jack is really knowledgeable. I will say I worked with Jack on a Saturday and went in on Sunday to purchase the bike. The customer service on Sunday was horrible. Jack was off and no one was in the store and I had to actually walk up and ask the three employees working who were so busy playing in the computer to help me. They acted irritated that I was bothering them. That is my only complaint. Guess when the boss is away the employees just don't care.
He is a short stocky obnoxious middle-aged man wearing a ballcap with a very short gray beard. He is very loud & somewhat belligerent and I think this is because he wants to be the center of attention. This could be due to his rather diminutive size and him having the "little man complex" as my father called it.
Excellent People, Great Service and very friendly. I got both my bikes from Bicycle outfitters. Great selection and they never rush selling you the bikes. While at there ask for Justin. He is super friendly and very knowledgeable. This place is great example of valuable service you get from a Brick and Mortar place instead of online. Every penny is worth it.
